Welcome to Open Beast. Tell us a little bit about yourself?

Well, where to begin? I’m a wife and mom to three great young kids and I love to volunteer in their school district and do political activism as well. Blogging wasn’t something that I ever intended to do regularly, but I enjoy it so very much now. I’m a tall girl, with a big personality. I like people and getting to know them. I am patriotic and I love this country. I believe in the power of God and I strive to serve Him.

What is all about?

My blog is a snarky hard right perspective on politics primarily and life in general. You will find funny videos from all over, some of them done by me! There are also odds and ends that showcase the unusual, the wonderful, the maddening, the sickening and the joyous. It’s whatever tickles my fancy and is newsworthy in my opinion. I usually comment on the things that I find and I don’t mince words, so my readers get to laugh quite a bit.

What are your views on the current economy and energy policy?

Our economy is suffering from a severe deficit in leadership in Washington. President Obama has refused to tack to the center and compromise on anything. It takes leadership to bring opposing viewpoints together and he clearly is unable to put down partisanship and lead the way. Couple this with our enormous energy reserves and his refusal to consider any source of fuel that isn’t green (read taxpayer dollars used as largesse to reward political supporters) and you have a country that is going to allow a close ally to sell oil to one of our largest debt holders to our detriment. The refusal to approve the Keystone Pipeline project by the president represents an epic failure in judgment and is evidence of his incompetence.

Talk to us about your Operation Desert Shield experience?

I was sent over for one 90 day TDY to Saudi Arabia. I stayed in the Khobar Towers. The very same ones that were bombed the summer after I returned from my tour. One of my Dorm mates (just across the hall) was killed in the bombing. I saw so much of what Sharia Law is, how it is enforced and what a tool of oppressive aggression it is against women. I enjoyed being there for my tour, but I thanked God many a day that my home country is America. My freedoms were in stark relief against what I saw there.

What’s your take on Occupy Wall Street?

Occupy Wall Street is a bunch of well meaning, wrongheaded college kids that borrowed way too much during college and can’t get jobs. Those kids have been surrounded and taken control of by MORE (read the now defunct ACORN of prostitution ring sting fame) and SEIU organizers. Now the movement has devolved into a melee of rape, disease and murder and is an all out embarrassment to our civilized society. Occupy is nothing like the Tea Party and holds no sway in civilized discussions of policy and our current political debate. Most Americans are appalled by the public defecation, masturbation, and lawlessness on display.

Any upcoming projects or initiatives you would like to disclose?

I have just signed on as the Communications Director for the Spence Gubernatorial Campaign. Look for interesting things to happen with that. I’m still doing local radio in St. Louis and South Carolina, as well as serving as a Project 21 Spokesperson. And keep your eyes peeled for more of my insights on KSDK news channel 5.

Would you like to mention about your mentors or role models?

My mentors are my very closest friends and two media moguls that are local to St. Louis Missouri. I hesitate to name them, but they know who they are. They have enriched my life immensely through our connections.

What is your best achievement thus far?

My marriage and my children are my greatest works. Not because I’m great because I’m married and have kids, but because I could do none of what I do without them. It is a continual privilege getting to parent our kids, they are more than I deserve, but that is the nature of God isn’t it? He always gives more than we deserve through his Grace and Mercy. My husband is my best friend and biggest supporter. Love that guy!

What are your leisure time activities?

I enjoy traveling, furniture projects and book club in my leisure time. I’m also an excellent shopper, at least I try really hard to be!  And Star Wars.  Light Saber app anyone?

Cat or dogs?

Ummmm, Rabbits. Definitely Rabbits.

Thank you so much.
