Fashion Blogger – K Come Karolina

K come Karolina, a Fashion Blogger and Freelance Stylist, based in Roma, Italia, is the author of the blog “k come karolina”. She has got a huge fan following to say the least. In a funny and light way she writes about fashion, new trends and her life as well. Earlier, she had collaborated with MTV Poland and several other polish fashion magazines.

Interviewed by Stephen M. Thompson, Ph.D.

Welcome to OpenBeast. Could you briefly introduce yourself?

My name is Karolina and I’m fromPoland. I am a former freelance fashion stylist. Then I betrayed fashion with an Italian boy… and I moved to Rome.

What is “k come karolina” blog all about?

Soon after I moved to Rome I started my fashion blog “kcomekarolina”. I missed fashion world and opening a blog seemed a perfect way to stay in contact with it. It also became my mother’s favorite tool to check up on me. In a funny and light way I write about fashion, new trends and my life in eternal city.

So how and why did you get into style and fashion?

My first contact with the fashion industry was at age of four – I was a baby model for one of the biggest apparel in Poland. I loved the fashion shows already at that tender age. My job, the blog, etc. are just a logic consequence of my passion.

Tell us about your followers and how do you keep them supporting/admiring your posts?

I still don’t know how it happens. I have over 1600 followers on blogger and others on facebook and twitter – but I don’t know why. I’m so grateful for their presence in these two years of kcomekarolina.com

Apart from passion, what do you think your blog is set to achieve?

I hope it will continue to grow, from the creative side. I hope I will have more time someday and will be able to achieve the blogging-as-a-profession level.

Talk to us about your unique style.

It is very eclectic. Modern, which doesn’t mean I don’t love vintage. I do, but I love to mix it in a way to make it look very up-to-date. It is rather girly sometimes even sexy. I can’t live without my iphone. To stay in contact with my friends, update blog, check facebook, take photos and answer emails. I buy a lot of iphone covers – I love to change its style when I change my outfits. Here in Rome you can’t live without sunglasses so I buy a new pair every month. I tend to loose them easily (smiles). The third thing I can’t live without is… a pair of wedges. With old streets in Rome pave with sampietrini it’s very difficult not to ruin your high heels – that’s why I fell in love wedges lately.

What are your leisure time activities?

We live fairly near the sea side so we spend every free moment at the beach. I love long strolls in winter, picnics at the sea in spring, beach-combing in summer. I love reading and painting. And I totally adore Gossip Girl – can’t wait to finally see Blair and Chuck happy together.

If you could live anywhere where would you build your dream home?

I’m really fortunate to have home in Warsaw and Rome, two cities with totally different vibes: the modern and the romantic. I would love to be able to spend more time in Barcelona – to me the perfect city. It has everything I need! Maybe one day.
